Finding Nemo (and her Fitness Groove)

An exciting new Workout Hero had her first workout this morning and picked a Finding Nemo sticker to go on her name tag onto the Wall of Workout Heroes board.

"Just keep swimming" she said smiling. 😀

WHOA!

Just then it hit me like a bolt of Thor's lighting on how that one line is such a golden "secret" to succeeding in this fitness world...

... and how to turn into the ultimate badass best versions of ourselves and all that. :)

In case it's been a minute since you've seen the movie (it was 2003 after all... and there's only been about 10,000 good movies and shows that have come out since -- not like the way it was back in them early "ots" where one good movie sustained us for MONTHS.... aw man, I must be getting old and getting ready for fatherhood with my "Back in my day...." talk) 😂)

Finding Nemo is an animated Disney Pixar classic adventure about a clown fish (who is not all that funny) named Marlin who embarks on an arduous journey across the ocean to find his son, Nemo.

Nemo had been captured and placed in a fish tank in a dentist's office.

In true Disney fashion, who likes to slide in lessons for the children to listen to their parents (did you ever notice that??), Nemo was captured disobeying dear old Dad and had to learn things the hard way. 😂

Along the way on his quest to rescue his son, Marlin is joined by Dory, a forgetful but kind-hearted fish. (wait... fish don't have hearts, do they?? ;) )

At one point, in between dodging sharks, jellyfish, the scary unknown, Dory says something that every fitness ethusiast, no matter where they are in their journey, should live by:

"Look, we'll find Nemo. All we have to do is just keep swimming."

  Just. Keep. Swimming.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, this fitness stuff isn't easy. (It isn't terribly difficult either, especially when you follow the 3 steps of my Workout Hero Transformation Strategy...  Proper Nutrition plan that you don't hate Effective workouts Have a Guide )

It's especially hard that first year.

I know I didn't quite "find my groove" until quite a few months into on my chubby-hubby to hot-hubby (according to wifey ;) ) transformation journey...

I wish I had me a Guide letting me know all the things I was messing up 🙃

But if you stay committed to showing up to those workouts,  stay the course following the "your name" meal plan,  make smart adjustments along way...

... start "stacking those successes" and putting one good week after another...

the Anti-fragile processes of our body takes over and you eventually get traction.

 Good things start happening.

 In other words:

just keep swimming.

It's just you vs. you, my friend.

Today's you vs. past you, and today's you keeps swimming and winning (ooo, I like that line... stay tuned I might put that on a t-shirt)

Eventually taking you to your awesome future. 😁

For the awesome future of your loved ones.

Here's the thing, it's my dream to be a success and have this Workout Hero brand be a success so that lives are changed and loved ones can see the real everyday Heroes right in front of them...

... because of that I've been studying successful people, and one of the big reasons for their success came down to this one principle:

... they picked a thing and did it ... over and over and over again.

I believe workouts are the thing you should do over and over again.

It's the truest path towards the best version of ourselves that blesses EVERYTHING important to us:  our loved ones,  our career,  our relationships, our finances,  our Pickleball or golf game.😄

I bid you a fond farewell for now, Workout Hero, know that your awesome future awaits!

Honored to be your Guide & biggest fan,

  Mr trainer man Erick

P.S.  Since we're on the topic of fish... what is the strongest fish?

 A mussel of course!
