Can I give you that lesson right away? ... I can't wait!
Here it is --
>> You're not alone in this fitness/weight loss/strength gain/getting into shape/looking better/feeling better journey of yours.
This is especially true if you're a Christian.
You're not just alone because you have me as your Guide and your fellow Workout Heroes along your side fighting this good fight.
You're also not alone because you have an even MORE powerful ally that resides IN YOU that is at least 100x more important than me...
Today in Church it was Confirmation Day for 4 excited smiling youngsters.
Our Pastor said they've been studying and preparing for this day for about 3 years.
So it was a pretty celebratory day in our Church Service today. Lots of happy tears,
... people dressed up,
... and a few thousand pictures taken.
I remember when I was Confirmed -- it was NOT 3 years of preparation for it -- more like 1 semester.
So it must have changed a bit in the last 25 years, or maybe different Church to Church, you think? (while also a few thousand less pictures taken... my oh my how times have changed. :) )
In one of the Gospel readings, it spoke of how the Holy Spirit came through a group of people and caused laughter in some...
... speaking in tongues in others...
as well as a few other fun effects.
It’s this Holy Spirit that is within us that we go forward with.
It's this Spirit that give us power and peace to help crush our fitness goals.
God knew we would need help living and following a Christian life (especially in today's times! yikes!)...
... so He sent us the Holy Spirit to power us up and guide us. Whenever I imagine being "powered up" by the Holy Spirit -
- for some reason my brain goes to Mario getting the star in the old school Nintendo video game Super Mario Brothers. ⭐:)
Acts 1:8 tells us that Jesus said, "You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."
How cool is that? So you just keep on keeping on with this noble cause of yours, Workout Hero, and know that you are far from alone in it.
You got this.
With that, I've got to run.
My parents and my sister need my muscles to help get their dock into the lake where their summer camper is at.
I'll ask my own personal Holy Spirit companion if He can give me some extra strength to do that. :)
Till we meet again, may you stay on the Path of the Workout Hero because your awesome future awaits!
Your Guide & biggest fan, Mr Trainer man Erick
