A New Taylor Swift Song?

Prepare yourself, Workout Hero... ... Your favorite Trainer and Guide is getting older...

but thankfully I practice what I preach and that number doesn't have much impact on me. :)

As me and the fam are planning a little birthday get together this weekend, it's starting to finally sink in that I won't be 42 much longer.

So I asked Bethany this morning... "Will you still love me when I'm 43??"  "Oh, of course!" She curtly replied...

"In fact that would be a really good name of a Taylor Swift song!"...

"Will you still love me even when I'm 43? By Taylor Swift. Got a nice ring to it, doesn't it?" 🥰 She said smiling.

How cute is that wifey of mine?! I'm so lucky. It's pretty obvious where Kason gets his cuteness from. :)

So in honor of me getting older and wiser, here's what I'll be doing...

... over the course of the next few weeks, my goal is to send you an email each day filled with a few of my favorite tips, secrets, strategies, hacks, lessons, rules, and mistakes to avoid as it pertains to this here fitness & health world (and maybe some pertaining to life as well :) )

My goal is around 3-4 a day to eventually get to 43 over the course of the coming weeks.

To kick things off, here are the first three before you head off into the weekend:

1. When you got it, at least do enough to not lose it. Maintenance requires about 20% the effort to maintain.

As someone who spent much of my 30’s “letting myself go” and turning into a chubby hubby after being in peak excellent physical condition…

this is something I wish I could have told my younger self when I thought I had to go “all-in” and give up my whole life and all my favorite foods.

2.) Just like a football team is first built with the Superstars, (like Jordan Love!) you want muscles and strength training workouts to be the superstar of your fitness -- ESPECIALLY as we get into our 40's and beyond.

After 40, if the muscles aren't getting used, we lose them and only speeds up this pesky aging process. :(

3.)  I love 80/20 Principle. When I first learned about it, I started seeing it everywhere. Especially everywhere in this fitness world. 80% of your results come from 20% of the actions. The small but powerful few.

Here is what I believe make up the 20% of actions that cause 80% of your fitness success:

Proper Nutrition plan that you don't hate
 effective workouts
 Having a Guide...
... Your Guide is good for 3 things, 1) knowledge 2) accountability 3) motivation

Because you're pretty smart (and good-looking☺) you likely noticed how those are the 3 main Components of my overall methodology -- the Workout Hero Transformation Strategy.

Pretty cool how that works out, isn't it?  Maybe in the next email or 2, I'll dive a bit deeper into each one since we're on the subject already.

Sound cool?

That's it for now and I look forward to sharing more with you later. May you have a great weekend and don't forget your awesome future awaits!

Your Guide & biggest fan,
Mr Trainer man Erick
